A TEENAGER who took part in a homophobic attack on her neighbours because they were gay has been ordered to do more community work.
Nina Muffen and her partner Carol Cashmore were beaten up outside their North Baddesley home by a gang of youths. Ms Muffen, 36, was left with severe bruising and a broken nose after the attack and Ms Cashmore suffered concussion.
Lydia Lake, pictured, pleaded guilty last September to affray and causing damage, and was ordered to do 250 hours community service.
She also received a six-month curfew and two years supervision.
She has again appeared at Southampton Crown Court after admitting breaching the order by failing to attend two appointments.
Prosecutor Alice Missions reported the 19- year-old had made good progress, having completed her curfew, attended supervision meetings and done 233 hours of the work.
The court heard she had overslept after working the previous evening.
Lake, now living in John Street, Southampton, said she had since quit the job, and was given an extra ten hours' work.
